Agriculture is central to the Eastern Cape’s economy, yet the sector faces challenges such as climate change, land degradation, limited market access, and high rural unemployment. The Agriculture & Agro-processing Indaba aims to bring together farmers, industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to explore sustainable, inclusive solutions that strengthen the agricultural value chain. The Indaba will focus on building resilience, empowering communities, and supporting the transition of subsistence farmers into commercially viable producers.
